Writing to a Pen Pal

Students in Grade 4 have been writing to their Pen Pal since September.  They are always excited to give and receive letters!

Growing Patterns

Students use manipulatives to solve a GROWING pattern problem.

Technology in Mathematics

A student uses Geometer's Sketchpad to draw a variety of angles.

 

Making Thinking Visible

A student responds to a read-aloud about Anansi The Spider by sketching and writing his ideas.

Sorting Angles

In this activity, students were given angles that they sorted based on what similarities and differences they noticed.  This group noticed that some angles were more than 90 degrees, less than 90 degrees, and equal to 90 degrees.

Read to Someone

As part of our Daily Five, students read to one another to improve comprehension and vocabulary. Plus it's fun!
